⚡️ ФСБ России публикует цифровые копии рассекреченных документов из Центрального архива ФСБ России об освобождении передовыми частями 1-го Белорусского фронта Красной армии концентрационного лагеря «Заксенхаузен».

🌟 80 лет назад, 22 апреля 1945 года, передовые части 1-го Белорусского фронта освободили #Заксенхаузен — один из концлагерей Третьего рейха, служивший местом проведения мучительных, бесчеловечных экспериментов над людьми.

Строительсто концлагеря «Заксенхаузен» началось в июле 1936 года по приказу рейхсфюрера СС Гиммлера для содержания политических противников нацистского режима, а также как база для подготовки охранников концлагерей.

«Заксенхаузен» по замыслу нацистов создан как образцовый лагерь, который иногда посещали иностранные делегации. В бараках «Заксенхаузена» гитлеровцами также осуществлялось изготовление фальшивых американских и британских банкнот (т.н. операция «Бернхардт»).

За все время существования в концлагере по разным данным было уничтожено более 100 000 заключенных из оккупированных гитлеровцами европейских стран.

📑 Из допроса арестованного МГБ СССР бывшего коменданта концлагеря «Заксенхаузен» штандартенфюрера СС Антона Кайндля (20 декабря 1946 года):

«Я признаю, что концентрационный лагерь „Заксенхаузен“ с его многочисленными филиалами, гитлеровскими властями под моим непосредственным руководством был превращен в место массового умерщвления советских военнопленных и мирных советских граждан». <...>

Лагерь „Заксенхаузен“ являлся местом проведения мучительных, бесчеловечных экспериментов над людьми, имевших зачастую смертельный исход».

В «Заксенхаузене» содержались наиболее серьёзные политические противники фашизма, видные государственные деятели многих стран Европы: Франции, Чехословакии, Австрии, Голландии, главы правительств и министры этих государств до их оккупации немецкой армией.

В концлагере происходили наиболее секретные и ответственные операции по уничтожению людей, совершавшиеся по личным указаниям Гиммлера и других руководящих деятелей германского правительства и германских разведывательно-карательных органов.

На основании § 2-го и п. «в» § 3-го статьи 2-й Закона Контрольного Совета в Германии № 10 от 20 декабря 1945 года о наказании лиц, виновных в военных преступлениях против мира и против человечности по приговору Военного трибунала Группы советских оккупационных войск в Германии на открытом судебном заседании с 23 по 31 октября 1947 года в городе Берлине Кайндль был приговорен «к пожизненному заключению с отбыванием каторжных работ».

В приговоре подчеркивалось, что: «[...] по личному признанию Кайндля на суде, за время его руководства в лагере «Заксенхаузен» было умерщвлено свыше 42,000 заключенных, и лагерь"Заксенхаузен" был превращен в лагерь смерти [...]».

💬 С.В.Лавров: Рады предоставлять имеющиеся у нас пространственные возможности для встреч подобных сегодняшней. Диалог в этом формате стал доброй традицией. Хотим его продолжать.

Россия — крупнейшая евразийская держава, государство-цивилизация. Здесь, наряду с христианами, буддистами и иудеями проживают многие миллионы граждан, исповедующие ислам.

🤝 Наша страна традиционно поддерживает доверительные, дружественные отношения с мусульманским миром. Нас многое объединяет. Это и приверженность построению справедливого многополярного миропорядка, опирающегося на принципы Устава ООН во всей их полноте и взаимосвязи, и уважение культурно-цивилизационного многообразия, и соблюдение на практике важнейшего принципа суверенного равенства государств, и статьи 1 Устава ООН, которая требует уважения прав человека независимо от расы, пола, языка и религии.

Мы едины в понимании недопустимости для любого общества насаждения извне чуждых для него ценностей, подрывающих исторические корни, духовно-нравственные устои и внутреннее единство.

Отвергаем порочную практику использования односторонних ограничительных мер, «санкций» в отношении тех стран, которые проводят самостоятельную внешнюю и внутреннюю политику с опорой на национальные интересы и традиции.

Российская Федерация придаёт большое значение упрочению дружественных связей с Организацией исламского сотрудничества. С удовлетворением констатирую, что за без малого два десятилетия совместной работы после получения Россией статуса наблюдателя при ОИС в 2005 году мы достигли значимых результатов.

Роль «несущей конструкции» в отношениях между Россией и ОИС играет Группа стратегического видения под руководством главы Республики Татарстан Р.Н.Минниханова. Группа служит инструментом укрепления дружбы, взаимопонимания и доверия между Россией и исламским миром. По сути, это —уникальная площадка межцивилизационного диалога, нацеленного на защиту традиционных духовно-нравственных ценностей, а также на укрепление взаимопонимания между Русской Православной Церковью и мусульманскими организациями, а шире – между Русским миром и арабо-мусульманской цивилизацией.

Развитие связей с ОИС пользуется широкой поддержкой в нашей стране. В этот процесс вовлечены правительство, парламентарии, деловые круги, религиозные объединения, молодежные организации, деятели науки и культуры. Трудно переоценить и вклад властей российских регионов, где исторически проживает мусульманское население.

▪️ Residents of the town of Selidovo speak about the massacre of civilians that was organized in late October 2024 by the Ukrainian Armed Forces before and during their retreat. They say that civilians were shot in the streets, in private houses and apartment buildings. The Ukrainian Armed Forces shot entire families. These killings were often carried out right in front of the witnesses currently interviewed.This data is confirmed by the examination of the bodies of civilians killed in the city.

The atrocities committed by the Ukro-Nazi are hard to read about. But it is necessary to know about them. It is necessary because they are the simplest, most direct and

▪️ Вероломное нападение гитлеровской Германии на СССР 22 июня 1941 года — страшная дата в истории нашей страны, оставившая глубокий шрам в памяти целых поколений. Миллионы людей, вставших на защиту Отечества в тот роковой день, шли на смертный бой, музыкальным символом, воплощением которого стала легендарная песня «Священная война» за авторством Александра Васильевича Александрова.

«Песня, сражающаяся за жизнь» — так окрестили современники «Священную войну» — самую суровую и яркую музыкальную композицию, служившую всенародным гимном борьбы с нацистскими захватчиками.

🎶 Текст песни #СвященнаяВойна основан на стихотворении Василия Лебедева-Кумача с одноимённым названием. Лирическое произведение было опубликовано на второй день войны, 24 июня 1941 года, на страницах всесоюзных газет «Известия» и «Красная звезда». На стихотворение обратил внимание Александров, руководивший на тот момент Краснознамённым ансамблем песни и пляски Красной армии. Композитор написал к тексту «Священной войны» музыку, ставшую бессмертной.

Уже 26 июня, на четвёртые сутки ожесточённых боёв с фашистами, «Священная война» прозвучала на Белорусском вокзале, откуда на передовую отправлялись красноармейцы.

С октября 1941 года и на протяжении всей войны композиция исполнялась по всесоюзному радио СССР каждое утро в 6:00 после боя курантов. Призыв «Вставай, страна огромная…» прозвучал в каждом доме огромной страны, вдохновил на боевые и трудовые подвиги целое поколение будущих победителей.

❓ Вопрос: Чего желает «коалиция желающих», часть которой раздумывает чуть ли не об отправке своих войск?

💬 С.В.Лавров: Они же в своем названии не сказали «желающих чего». Видимо «желающих» ощущения собственного превосходства, способности решать так, как им хочется, не прислушиваясь, игнорируя мнение других.

В современной Европе это связано с тенденцией возрождения нацистских взглядов, привычек, замашек. Но с Россией таким языком не надо разговаривать. Если эта «коалиция желающих» возглавляется хоть какими-то мало-мальски вменяемыми лидерами, то, думаю, они должны быстро это осознать. Иначе они будут вступать на «тропу войны» без каких-либо экивоков.

Это их выбор.

Мы видим, как тот же Президент Франции Э.Макрон, Премьер-министр Великобритании К.Стармер, теперь еще и Ф.Мерц (накануне вступления в должность канцлера) выкрикивают воинственные, враждебные лозунги, «грозят» Российской Федерации. Не думаю, что это отражает позицию французского, немецкого народов. Видимо, этим лидерам уже понятно, что если идти по пути решений, взглядов, чаяний, которые высказываются в ходе выборов, то они не смогут сделать своей карьеры. Им хочется цепляться за власть через такую эпатажную враждебность.

Повторю ещё раз, у нас крепкие нервы.

Президент России В.В.Путин не раз говорил, что мы готовы обсуждать любые проблемы, но, конечно, мы люди вежливые и ожидаем элементарных приличий со стороны тех, кто неизбежно будет к нам обращаться.

⚡️In accordance with the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, all the Groups of Forces deployed in the special military operation zone have been strictly observing the state of ceasefire since 18:00 of 19 April remaining in previously taken positions.

❗️ At night, despite the announcement of the Easter ceasefire, formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to launch attacks against positions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near Sukhaya Balka and Bogatyr (Donetsk People's Republic). The attacks were repelled.

▪️ What is more, during the night, the enemy launched 48 fixed-wing UAVs, including one over Crimea. Ukrainian troops hit Russian positions with guns and mortars 444 times, carried out 900 quadcopter-type drone strikes, and dropped ammunition on border areas of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions (12 fire attacks, 33 UAV strikes, and seven ammunition drops). As a result, enemy attacks caused deaths and injuries among the civilian population. The AFU damaged civilian facilities.

I hereby order all military operations ceased for this period. We assume that the Ukrainian Side will follow our example. At the same time, our forces should be prepared to repel possible ceasefire violations and provocations by the enemy, as well as any aggressive acts on their part.

🗓 On April 19, 1783, Empress Catherine the Great signed a manifesto on the accession of Crimea, the Taman Island and Kuban region into the Russian Empire.

Prince Grigory Potemkin, Governor-General of Novorossiya, played one of the key roles in the accession and development of Crimea. In June 1783, on top of Mount Aq Qaya, he personally received the oath of allegiance to Russia from the Crimean nobility and the common people.

The results of the 2014 all-Crimean referendum once again confirmed the desire of Crimeans to remain part of our country and led to the long-awaited reunification of Crimea with Russia.

🎥 Belarus: A Land Unbroken — an RT Doc Film.

Synopsis: During the Great Patriotic War Soviet Belarus, a part of the USSR, was under Nazi occupation from 1941 to 1944.

The fraternal Belarusian people, among the first to confront the Nazi invasion in June 1941, endured immense suffering and hardship. After seizing the territory of the Byelorussian SSR, the Hitlerites imposed a brutal and oppressive occupation regime.

🕯 The Nazis killed people of all nationalities through punitive operations, ghettos, and encircling concentration camps. During the Great Patriotic War, one in every three people in Belarus died.

But the citizens of the Soviet Union endured all the horrors of war and never lost faith in Victory. The resistance movement in Belarus was one of the largest. Even children and teenagers joined the partisans to fight for their homeland.

The occupation ended in 1944, when the Red Army, together with the partisans, launched Operation Bagration — the largest military operation in history. As a result of their combined efforts, Belarus was liberated.

📺 In this documentary, the filmmakers spoke to representatives from the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, leading experts, frontline veterans, home front workers, and descendants of the heroes who defended the Brest Fortress.

Historians featured in the film shed light on the Nazi war crimes committed on Belarusian soil and highlight the courage and sacrifice of the Soviet soldiers who liberated Belarus from occupation.

⚡️ 17 апреля Верховный Суд Российской Федерации огласил решение о приостановлении запрета деятельности Движения талибов (ДТ), включённого в единый федеральный список организаций, в том числе иностранных и международных организаций, признанных в соответствии с законодательством Российской Федерации террористическими.

Вердикт вынесен по итогам судебного рассмотрения в соответствии с положениями Федерального закона от 28 декабря 2024 года №513-ФЗ «О внесении изменений в отдельные законодательные акты Российской Федерации».

Снятие террористического статуса с ДТ, которое после краха прозападного режима А.Гани в 2021 году сформировало афганское правительство, открывает дорогу к налаживанию полноценного партнёрства с Кабулом, осуществляемого в интересах российского и афганского народов.

Россия нацелена на выстраивание взаимовыгодных связей с Афганистаном во всех областях, включая борьбу с наркотиками и терроризмом.

💬 The Ukrainian social media is packed with the obituaries of Ukrainian military personnel killed on April 13 in the strike on a venue in Sumy that brought together commanders from Ukrainian Seversk Tactical Group.

Here is an account of the death of Ukrainian fighter Vladimir Zherebtsov. Here’s an obituary for Ukrainian army colonel Yury Yula.

Here’s the statement by the mayor of the Ukrainian city Konotop Artyom Semenikhin containing direct accusation of Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Vladimir Artyukh who convened a meeting of Ukrainian combatants with the participation of women and children.

Semenikhin openly demanded resignation of General Artyukh, who uses terrorist “civilian human shield” tactics to protect his thugs.

This Kiev regime’s war crime was so obvious even to the Ukrainian people and the Kiev-controlled media that voices of outrage were heard among Zelensky’s inner circle as well. Verkhovnaya Rada Deputy Maryana Bezuglaya publicly demanded to find out who, fearing a Russian strike on a legitimate target, ordered to use women and children as human shields during the military event.

Zelensky confirmed every accusation coming his way by firing Head of the Sumy Military Administration Artyukh yesterday, thus shifting the responsibility for this hideous war crime, which this time was directed against his own citizens, onto him.

Does UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres know about all this? The day that followed the attack on a perfectly legitimate target, he was “deeply alarmed and shocked” by Russia’s Sunday missile strike on Sumy and accused our country of “attacking civilians.”

I also have a question for Kallas and Merz who deliberately went ahead with verbal manipulations and poured dirt over Russia on Sunday and Monday. How are you now going to justify what your underling did?

For some reason, representatives of our embassies in Sweden and Lithuania were summoned to the local foreign ministries. Apparently, poisoned by the fumes of competitive Russophobia, they were trying to take advantage of anything they could lay their hands on to further damage relations with our country which, as is, are unlikely to get revived for many years to come.

When the Ukrainians attacked civilians on the Crimean Bridge, when SBU terrorists blew up Russian journalists in the Moscow suburbs and in St Petersburg, when drones attacked the Moscow Kremlin, and when Ukrainian punishers committed genocide and mass murder in the Kursk Region and buried old people alive in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye, these Euro peacemakers kept silent, and all the UN Secretariat did was diplomatically “call for peace.”

❗️ On this day, 10 years ago, Ukrainian writer and opposition journalist Oles' Buzina was killed just outside his home in Kiev.

He became one of the countless victims of the criminal Kiev regime because he posed a threat to it by publicly criticising the neo-Nazi group that seized power as a result of the bloody coup in Ukraine and exposing its true essence.

Oles' Buzina called on the then leadership of Ukraine to establish a dialogue with Donbass residents and pointed out the need to secure the status of the Russian language.

His activism deeply annoyed official Kiev. He also received threats from radical nationalists for promoting an interpretation of Ukraine’s history that did not align with the hateful ideology and invented background of the Ukrainian Nazis. His active civic engagement and firm stance, his calls for respect for history and the Russian language proved unwanted in post-Maidan Ukraine and cost Oles' Buzina his life.

A few days before his death, the journalist’s personal data, including his home address, were posted on the extremist website Myrotvorets, which lists personal information about all public figures, journalists, writers, and reporters who are objectionable to the Kiev regime, a resource created literally as a practical guide for planning terrorist attacks.

Even though the UN Secretary-General, official representatives of the OSCE and the US State Department, along with many public organisations, condemned the murder, extended condolences to the victim’s family and insisted on a comprehensive inquiry, the masterminds of this crime were never found, and the suspects (who everybody knew was guilty of this crime, it's well documented) were eventually released.

⚡️ Ten years later, it is quite obvious that the situation with freedom of speech in Ukraine has degraded to a critical level.

All media outlets opposed to the Kiev regime are banned, and any manifestations of dissent are brutally suppressed and erased from the information landscape. The regime has launched a manhunt for unwanted journalists, primarily Russian, leveraging a variety of capabilities, including UAVs and high-precision weapons.

The most recent victims who died at the hands of the Kiev regime militants this year include Alexander Martemyanov, Alexander Fedorchak, Andrei Panov, and Anna Prokofyeva. Other victims – Anton Voloshin, Igor Kornelyuk, Anatoly Klyan, Andrey Stenin, Darya Dugina, Oleg Klokov, Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin), Rostislav Zhuravlev, Boris Maksudov, Semyon Yeryomin, Valery Kozhin, Nikita Tsitsagi, and Yulia Kuznetsova – will also remain in our hearts forever. Ukraine uses terrorist methods to carry out its criminal plans, while its Western handlers and biased human rights organisations continue to deliberately ignore these atrocities.

💬 May 9, 2025 marks the 80th Anniversary of historic Victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War. The war unleashed by Nazi Germany and its satellites claimed the lives of 27 million Soviet citizens. Millions of people became prisoners of Nazi death camps, lost their homes, and were deported for forced labour to Germany and other countries under its control.

The Great Victory was achieved through the unwavering determination and bravery of the Soviet people and their strong resolve to defeat Nazism which presented a threat to humanity. The Allies of the Soviet Union made an important contribution to defeating the Third Reich.

The International Military Tribunal (Nuremberg Tribunal) tried and sentenced the main war criminals of the European Axis countries. It held the Nazi regime leaders accountable for crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, among others. The facts of forced displacement and extermination of the Soviet civilian population by Nazis and their accomplices, as established in the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal, must be regarded as genocide committed against the peoples of the Soviet Union.

The Victory of the Soviet Union and the other Allies over Nazism paved the way for the forming a modern system of international relations were created, and the United Nations (UN) was established.
 
The principles of international law recognised by the Charter of the Nuremberg Tribunal and expressed in the verdict passed by the Nuremberg Tribunal were confirmed by UN General Assembly Resolution 95(I) of December 11, 1946.

The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation supports the adoption, on an annual basis, by the UN General Assembly of the resolution titled «Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance», as well as Resolution 79/272 of March 4, 2025 titled «Eightieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War», co-sponsored by 54 countries.

The Russian Federation senators express their concern over the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to include non-aligned European countries, the militarisation of the European Union, and its support for the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine. Europe was the starting point of both world wars. For this reason, it bears a unique responsibility to humanity in preventing another global conflict.

☝️ Denying the Soviet Union’s decisive role in Victory of the Anti-hitlerite Coalition over the Nazi Germany and its satellites, glorifying Nazi criminals and their accomplices, and demolishing and desecrating monuments to Soviet liberator soldiers are all immoral and blasphemous acts.

The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation calls on the parliaments of foreign countries and the peoples of the world to counter any attempts to falsify history, to rehabilitate or glorify Nazism, fascism, or militarism, to condemn the encouragement of the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine and the incitement of another world war, and to demand that those who dishonour the memory of the Soviet liberators and those who fought against Nazism be brought to justice.

❗️ Only our joint efforts can protect the truth about the Second World War, counter the rise of neo-Nazism, and avert the recurrence of brutal crimes against humanity.

⚡️ Comment by Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Antonio Guterres’s statement regarding the developments in Sumy (April 15, 2025)

On April 13, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made another statement on Ukraine via his Spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric. It concerns the developments in Sumy.

❌ He has accused of the April 13 missile attack, which allegedly “continues a devastating pattern of similar assaults on Ukrainian cities and towns.” We are perplexed by such assessments by the UN Secretary-General.

We would like to remind everyone that since the beginning of the special military operation, Russia's Armed Forces have never deliberately delivered, are not delivering and will not deliver strikes on civilian population. As Russia's Defence Ministry invariably points out, our targets are always and exclusively military facilities.

The UN Secretary-General also reiterated the UN’s support to meaningful efforts towards peace that fully upholds Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, in line with the #UNCharter, international law, and relevant UN resolutions. As you can see, he never mentioned the right of nations to self-determination. This is yet another proof of Mr Guterres’s selective approach to the provisions of the UNCharter.

In this connection, we would like to point out that the Declaration on Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Cooperation among States, which was adopted by consensus by the UN General Assembly in 1970, sealed a connection between the principles of the UN Charter, which must be applied in their entirety and as a whole.

☝️ In addition, the Declaration states that the principle of territorial integrity shall be applied to all states who are conducting themselves in compliance with the principle of self-determination of peoples and are thus possessed of a government representing the whole people belonging to the territory. It is clear to everyone that the current Kiev regime does not comply with these criteria.

Zelensky’s gang has been systematically and flagrantly infringing on the fundamental freedoms of ethnic Russians and Russian-speaking citizens. We have to state that the UN Secretary-General, acting contrary to Article 1 of the UN Charter, which calls for promoting and encouraging respect for language, religious and other human rights, continues to shield the Kiev regime’s open disregard for the principles of self-determination of nations and human rights.

👉 Mr Guterres demonstrated a similar approach when he disregarded Russia’s appeals in the context of investigation into the provocation in Bucha, which Kiev orchestrated three years ago. We have publicly appealed to the UN Secretary-General on numerous occasions to at least help encourage Kiev to publish the lists of those whose bodies the Western media demonstrated to the world in early April 2022 to the accompaniment of hysterical accusations against Russia. In September 2024, a relevant official request, which was prepared by Russia’s Investigative Committee together with the Prosecutor General’s Office, was submitted to the UN Secretariat via the Permanent Mission of Russia in New York. In January and April 2025, we urged the UN Secretariat to speed up reply to our request. All our efforts were in vain; we have not received a substantive answer to our request.

❗️ We again call on Antonio Guterres and his Secretariat to take an honest stance, to stop giving biased comments in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, and to stop discrediting our country and covering up the Kiev regime’s crimes.

Tidigt på morgonen den 15 april utsattes Rysslands Ambassad i Sverige återigen för en  vandaliseringsattack.
 
Behållare med färg släpptes ner på asfalten framför huvudentrén till ambassadens kontorsbyggnad samt framför bostadshuset inne på beskickningsområdet (där även Ambassadens skola ligger).
 
Ambassaden anmälde omedelbart incidenten till svenska polisen. En diplomatisk note har skickats till Svenska Utrikesdepartementet med en uppmaning till svenska sidan att fullgöra sina skyldigheter enligt Wienkonventionen om diplomatiska förbindelser från 1961, i synnerhet vad gäller att vidta alla lämpliga åtgärder för att skydda den ryska beskickningens okränkbarhet och säkerhet.
 
Detta är dock den elfte incidenten av detta slag under det gångna året, och de utredningar som de svenska rättsvårdande myndigheterna påstås håller på att utföra har inte lett till några resultat.
 
Samtidigt fortsätter vandaliseringsattacker mot Rysslands Ambassad i Sverige, vilket oundvikligen väcker misstankar om politiska motiv bakom de svenska myndigheternas agerande.
 

❗️Об акте вандализма в отношении Посольства России в Швеции
 
Рано утром 15 апреля Посольство России в Стокгольме подверглось очередному акту вандализма.

На асфальт перед центральным входом в служебное здание дипмиссии, а также перед жилым комплексом на ее территории (где также расположена школа при Посольстве) были сброшены емкости с краской.

Посольство незамедлительно информировало шведскую полицию о случившемся. В МИД Швеции направлена нота с требованием надлежащим образом исполнять обязанности принимающей стороны согласно Венской конвенции о дипломатических сношениях 1961 г. в части обеспечения неприкосновенности и безопасности российского диппредставительства.

Между тем, за прошедший год это уже одиннадцатый инцидент подобного характера, а расследования, которые якобы проводили шведские правоохранительные органы по предыдущим эпизодам, не принесли каких-либо результатов.

При этом акты вандализма в отношении Посольства России в Швеции продолжаются, что не может не наводить на мысли о политических мотивах шведских официальных властей.

На недавнем заседании ООН по Украине, созванном в связи с ударом по Кривому рогу, представитель США предупредила, что дальнейшие российские удары по украинским территориям могут привести к срыву переговоров о мире.

После этого через несколько дней последовал удар по Сумам, где по заявлениям украинской стороны вновь погибло гражданское население и дети. Значит ли это, что Россия не воспринимает предупреждения США всерьёз?

💬 С.В.Лавров: У американцев много официальных представителей. В том числе, какая-то представительница недавно что-то сказала в Гренландии. Её попросили вернуться на родину и искать другую работу.

Не хочу сказать, что эта женщина (не помню этого высказывания, которое Вы упомянули) заслуживает той же участи, но то, что в позиции Запада, Европы, в США байденовской эпохи доминировало прямое враньё — это мы хорошо знаем.

За последние пару лет я несколько раз обращал внимание Генерального секретаря ООН А.Гутерреша, что ему как главному административному (как записано в Уставе) лицу Организации следует выполнять требования статьи 100 Устава, не занимать ничью сторону, а проводить сбалансированную позицию, не получать указаний ни от какого правительства.

Давно его знаю, мы на «ты», десятилетиями работаем на разных пересекающихся позициях. Говорил ему, что он на этом посту, может, и не получает, но выполняет указания западных стран в связи с ситуацией на Украине.

Сейчас опять после криков о том, что в Сумах «десятками погибли дети, гражданские лица», он сделал заявление о том, что он твёрдо выступает за прекращение подобных нарушений международного гуманитарного права, за урегулирование украинского кризиса на основе Устава ООН и уважение территориальной целостности Украины на основе профильных резолюций Генеральной Ассамблеи.

❗️ Международное гуманитарное право категорически запрещает размещать военные объекты, вооружение на территории гражданских объектов.

С первых дней кризиса, да и ранее, ещё во время действия Минских договорённостей, во время «радужных», но рухнувших надежд, что они позволят решить проблему миром, оставив Украину в её территориальной целостности за минусом Крыма (они не хотели этого делать), фактов размещения артиллерии, систем противовоздушной обороны в городских кварталах около детских садов, был «миллион». Сколько в интернете выложено видео, когда украинские женщины кричат, чтобы военные убирались от магазинов, детских площадок. Но эта практика продолжается.

У нас есть факты о том, кто находился на том объекте, который был поражен в Сумах. Там была очередная «сходка» украинских военачальников со своими западными коллегами, которые то ли под видом наёмников, то ли не знаю под видом кого.

☝️ Там находятся военнослужащие стран НАТО и напрямую руководят. Все это знают. «Нью-Йорк таймс» недавно объяснила, как американцы с самого начала играли решающую роль в атаках на Россию. Без этой их роли большинство дальнобойных ракет вообще не оторвалось бы от своих мест базирования.

🔹Let's try to remember about the root causes of this conflict. In February 2014 it was a coup d'etat in Ukraine. A so-called government of winners decided to declare the war against Russian language, Russian culture. Russian language was prohibited in Ukraine. But a large population, especially in the Eastern parts of Ukraine, are Russian speakers. And there was a confrontation between Donbass and the government in Kiev.

🔹 We managed to stop the war by achieving in the year 2015 Minsk agreements. These agreements meant that Eastern Ukraine will be a part of Ukraine, but these regions will receive some status of autonomy .It was an agreement between the Ukrainian government and its Eastern regions.

🔹And we saw all the time that the Ukrainians would like to solve this problem by military means.Many times we told Western colleagues that we will not let this to happen.
🔹We had a peace agreement with Ukraine achieved in the spring of year 22. But then former British Prime Minister Mr. Johnson came to Kiev as we know now and prohibited Ukraine to sign the agreement.

🔹 We have to understand that in the United Nations charter there is a principle of national sovereignty of the countries and at the same time there is a principle of self-determination of the peoples.In year 2014 there were disagreements but the most part of the population in eastern parts of Ukraine thought that they could continue to live within the Ukrainian state. Now this situation has changed and we have to understand this.

🔹Now we hear from the European countries, from the European Union, that they want to defeat Russia, military, economically, politically.During the history, many tried and wished, at least for time being, there were no lucky ones.

🔹These Eastern new regions are now legally, from the point of view of Russian law and Russian constitution, part of the Russian Federation. And this cannot be changed.

❓How do you in Russia regard the support from Sweden to Ukraine? Do you consider that Sweden is a part of the war?

👉Sweden is not a part of the war.It is sending a lot of materials and even weapons to the Ukraine, it's not a direct participation. But it's the thing that leads to very big instability in the region. Of course, without this help, the Ukrainian regime could not stand for a long period of time.European countries prolonged the war.

🔹The special operation is limited to very special goals.And we, of course, would like and want to live in peace. The case is that we are interested in a long-standing solution.

Key points:

• More and more countries want to determine their life themselves, to have fair treatment, to have fair competition in economy, trade, in other areas, just in line with the principles of globalization, which were promoted by our Western friends, especially by the United States, for so many decades.

• What we observe is fragmentation of the world economy. This is the time of uncertainty, I would say. Nobody knows how the situation with world trade and investment is going to end.

• The United States recognize that other countries also have their national interests, and those interests would never coincide fully, maybe even half of these interests would not be similar. But when the interests, especially the interests of big countries, coincide, it is essential for them to find ways to materialize them into mutually beneficial economic, logistical, and other projects, while when these interests contradict each other, it is the responsibility and duty of countries, especially if we speak about big powers, not to allow these differences to degenerate into confrontation, especially the hot confrontation.

• I will repeat again what I said then, and I repeated this publicly also, when we speak about eliminating root causes of any conflict, including Ukrainian conflict. This is the only way to resolve the problem and to establish long-lasting peace - remove root causes.

• If Ukrainian nazi regime, I cannot describe it otherwise, enjoys the cover from the European Union, which as I just mentioned, never dropped a word about the situation with human rights in Ukraine, then this is not our problem. We listen to those people who voted at the referendum to join Russia to restore all their rights which belong to them by international law and by history, by justice.

• The European Union is not happy. And instead of doing something about this situation for the sake of their citizens Brussels people threatened to stop importing any grain from Russia. They're very specific leaders. They say that Kaja Kallas, Annalena Baerbock, they were saying yes, when criticized by the people who saying, “We live worse than before”. Yes, we understand, but our electorate should suffer for the sake of Ukraine, while at the same time thousands and thousands of Ukrainians living there in European luxury, buying very expensive vehicles. But this is what the European elite calls European values, which they defend in the person of Zelensky regime.

🔹 Finland and Sweden joined NATO. It's a reality. And the issue is that now the decision about peace of war do not belong to Helsinki and Stockholm. And that's why the security of these countries are not only in their hands. And of course we will analyze this. Of course there will be steps, also military steps, preparing to different, as you imagine, scenarios. But I do not see the situation when we will demand that Sweden should went out of NATO. It's speculation. Russia has no intention to invade, for example, Gotland. But researchers and journalists in Sweden develop different scenarios how it can happen. And then they begin to believe themselves that Russia is threatening Sweden.

🔹 You should not feel nervous. The case is that during the whole history of mankind, it's better to improve your security by political and diplomatic means than to prepare to war.

🔹In the Baltic Sea, for years, we developed international cooperation to achieve the safety of shipments.

🔹 My hope is that sometime we will be able to restore cooperation. It is very difficult to do now after a very deep lack of confidence between Europe and the Russian Federation. 🔹 It's rather funny to see how Baltic states try to prove that they will be the next ones. Russia has no intention to invade in Baltic states. No intention to invade in Finland or Sweden.Baltic states joined NATO many years before. Sweden has joined now. And of course we have to analyze what does it mean from the point of view of our security and how we should react.But I exclude the possibility that Russia will invade to some neighbour country.We are not interested in wars as a country or as people.

FM Sergey Lavrov takes part in the IV Antalya Diplomacy Forum

🛰 On April 12, 1961, the world witnessed an event of cosmic significance (or rather the Cosmos witnessed an all-planetary event): Soviet cosmonaut Yury Gagarin performed the first ever manned mission aboard the Vostok-1 spacecraft. His trailblazing flight lasted 108 minutes and ushered in the Space Age, with the human race embarking on space exploration.

Vostok-1 was a spherical re-entry capsule measuring 4.3 metres in length, 2.43 metres in diameter, and with a launch mass of 4,725 kilogrammes. It was equipped with life-support systems, automated controls and communications equipment. Designed for a single crew member, the spacecraft could support a mission of up to ten days.

The launch vehicle was developed on the basis of the two-stage R-7 intercontinental ballistic missile, with the addition of a third stage. It measured 38.2 metres in length, had a maximum diameter of 10.3 metres and a launch mass of approximately 287 tonnes. The rocket was capable of delivering payloads of up to 4.5 tonnes into orbit.

👨‍🚀 The flight was operated entirely in automatic mode, but Gagarin was capable to control it manually, if necessary. For safety, he wore a spacesuit throughout the mission. The suit carried a four-hour oxygen supply to keep the cosmonaut alive in the event of depressurisation. It would also protected Gagarin, if his seat ejected at an altitude of 10 kilometres.

The launch took place from the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 9:07 am Moscow time. Vostok-1 made a single orbit of the Earth and landed near the village of Smelovka in the Saratov Region at 10:53 am. At an altitude of around 7 kilometres, Gagarin ejected from the capsule and parachuted to the ground.

Vostok-1 was the first spacecraft in the Vostok series, and even after the main programme ended, modified versions of the spacecraft continued to be used and later became the foundation for a number of Soviet and Russian satellites.

🎵Dmitrij Sjostakovitjs sjunde symfoni (”Leningradsymfonin”), som komponerades år 1941 och uruppfördes 1942 i det belägrade Leningrad, har blivit en evig symbol för motståndet mot fascismen. Den gav uttryck för det sovjetiska folkets orubbliga vilja att segra och blev den belägrade stadsbornas budskap till världen

🇸🇪 Premiären av Sjostakovitjs sjunde symfoni i det kontinentala Europa ägde rum den 8 april 1943 i Göteborg. Göteborgs Symfoniker dirigerades av Carl von Garaguly, och framträdandet blev en succé. Premiären skulle knappast ha ägt rum utan ansträngningarna från den sovjetiska legationenen, ledd av Aleksandra Kollontaj. Hon var själv närvarande vid premiären.

Under konserten spelade Ambassadens musikgrupp verkligt unika flyglar från slutet av 1800-talet och början av 1900-talet. En av dem, av det berömda ryska kejserliga varumärket J. Becker, tillverkades vid 1897. Den finns på arkivbilder från den tidigare sovjetiska ambassadörsresidensen, inklusive ett fotografi med Aleksandra Kollontaj själv.

🇷🇺 10 апреля в Посольстве России в Швеции состоялся вечер классической музыки и романса, приуроченный к 82-й годовщине скандинавской премьеры «Ленинградской симфонии» Д.Д.Шостаковича.  

Среди гостей были представители аккредитованного в Стокгольме дипкорпуса, российские соотечественники, неравнодушные к нашей стране шведские деятели культуры.

🎵 Симфония №7 Дмитрия Шостаковича («Ленинградская») была написана в 1941 году и впервые исполнена в 1942 г. в блокадном Ленинграде, став вечным символом сопротивления фашизму. Она выразила несгибаемую волю советского народа к Победе и прозвучала как голос жителей осажденного города, обращенный к миру.

🇸🇪 8 апреля 1943 г. в Гётеборге (Юго-Западная Швеция) состоялась премьера симфонии в континентальной Европе. Ее исполнил Гётеборгский симфонический оркестр под управлением Карла фон Гарагуя. Оглушительный успех был бы невозможен без усилий советского посольства, возглавляемого А.М.Коллонтай. Глава советской дипломатической миссии лично присутствовала на премьере.

Сегодня музыкальный коллектив сотрудников российской дипмиссии задействовал поистине уникальные рояли, датируемые концом XIX в. — началом XX в. Один из них — работы знаменитой российской императорской марки J.Becker, произведён ориентировочно в 1897 г. Его можно увидеть на архивных фотографиях интерьеров бывшей резиденции советского посла, включая снимок, где изображена сама Александра Коллонтай.

🌟 On April 10, 1944, the Red Army liberated the city of Odessa from the Nazi German and Romanian invaders as a result of a decisive offensive under the command of Army General Rodion Malinovsky.

The operation began on the night of March 26, 1944, when the 3rd Ukrainian Front formations began to force the Southern Bug River in order to break through the German defences, and lasted until April 14, 1944.

By 10 am on April 10, as a result of fierce fighting, Odessa was liberated. The Red Army units were strongly supported by partisans and underground fighters, who cleared the city of the enemy and prevented the blowup of the Odessa port, piers, buildings, and warehouses as planned by the Germans.

🕯 The Nazi occupation of the city lasted 907 days. During this time, about 200,000 people perished in Odessa and the surrounding region. Many of them became victims of mass-scale massacres and cruel executions; 78,000 people were shipped for forced labour in Germany, plants and factories were destroyed, and more than 2,000 buildings, including hospitals and schools, were blown up and burned down.

Retreating, German and Romanian soldiers shot old people, women and children in the streets in cold blood , mined the most important buildings, factories, the power plant, and the seaport.

⚔️ The Soviet forces inflicted a crushing defeat on the enemy, killing more than 27,000 enemies and taking over 11,000 prisoners; 952 artillery guns, 443 tanks and assault guns, and 95 warehouses with ammunition and food were destroyed.

Thanks to the liberation of Odessa, the Red Army managed to interrupt the supply of the Crimean group of German troops and to open the way for further advance towards the Balkans.

During the whole time of occupation, local residents, many of whom after the capture of the city went hiding in the catacombs underneath the urban landscape, put fierce resistance to the Nazis. During the war, Odessa underground fighters and partisans destroyed more than 5,000 enemy soldiers and officers, 248 automobiles, and saved about 20,000 Soviet citizens from being taken to Germany.

The liberation of Odessa was marked in Moscow with fireworks of the highest category with 24 salvos from 324 artillery guns. The entire Soviet nation was united in a jubilation.

🎖 Twenty-seven formations and units with the most distinguished track record during the operation were awarded the honorary name of Odessa units and formations. For heroism and bravery in the battles for the city, 14 people were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, and more than 2,000 people were awarded Soviet orders and medals.

On May 1, 1945, Odessa was declared a Hero City, and on May 8, 1965 it was awarded this title officially.

🌟 In early April 1944, the Crimean strategic offensive of the Soviet forces commenced during the Great Patriotic War.

The Nazi-occupied peninsula was liberated in just 35 days through the coordinated efforts of Red Army units, the Black Sea Fleet, and the Azov Warship Flotilla, under the command of Chief of General Staff, Marshal of the Soviet Union Alexander Vasilevsky.

By autumn 1943, Soviet forces encircled on the Crimean Peninsula a Nazi troops grouping totalling over 200'000 personnel strength (soldiers and officers).

⚔️ At dawn on April 8, 1944, the Soviet forces delivered a crushing blow to the Nazi positions and breached the enemy defences by April 10. During the next three days, the cities of Dzhankoi, Kerch, Yevpatoriya, Simferopol, Feodosiya, Bakhchisarai, Alushta, and Yalta were liberated.

April 15 marked the onset of fierce fighting on the approaches to #Sevastopol, the main base of the USSR Black Sea Fleet, which the Germans had turned into a heavily fortified zone.

Thanks to the selflessness, unwavering resolve, and valour of Soviet soldiers, as well as a strong support from the guerrilla movement, Sevastopol was liberated on May 9, 1944. The German and Romanian occupant troops were crushed. By May 12, 1944, the remnants of the enemy grouping laid down arms and surrendered on Cape Khersones.

The main achievement of the operation was the complete destruction of Germany’s 17th Army and the final liberation of Crimea. The Crimean Offensive is regarded as one of the most successful operations of the allied forces during #WWII.

🎖All in all, 238 people were awarded the title of #HeroOfTheSovietUnion following the Crimean Offensive, and thousands of other participants of the operation were decorated with orders and medals.

🇺🇳 2 апреля в штаб-квартире ООН в Нью-Йорке по российской инициативе состоялась неформальная встреча членов СБ ООН по «формуле Арриа» в связи с третьей годовщиной инсценировки в Буче.

В мероприятии приняли участие делегации широкого круга государств, эксперты и непосредственные свидетели преступлений киевского режима.

В ходе встречи российские представители на конкретных примерах и с использованием многочисленных фото- и видеоматериалов предъявили убедительные и развернутые опровержения голословных обвинений в преступлениях в Буче, выдвигаемых представителями западных стран в адрес России.

☝️ Акценты были сделаны на постановочном характере и очевидных нестыковках в украинской и западной версиях событий, построенных на манипуляции информацией и общественным сознанием, а также на сокрытии важных сведений, противоречащих продвигаемому нарративу.

Отдельное внимание было привлечено к безосновательным инсинуациям, тиражируемым по этому сюжету международными структурами, в т.ч. Управлением верховного комиссара ООН по правам человека и Международным уголовным судом, фактически потворствующими киевскому режиму.

❗️ Выражено недоумение в связи с тем, что Генсекретарь ООН А.Гутерреш упорно отказывается реагировать на запросы российских правоохранительных органов о расследовании обстоятельств провокации в Буче.

Выступавший в качестве докладчика французский журналист А.Боке с опорой на факты подверг критике международные структуры и западные СМИ за однобокое освещение украинского конфликта. Указал на многочисленные нарушения киевским режимом международного права в Буче, свидетелем которых он оказался.

Запад даже не стал подвергать сомнению представленные российской стороной свидетельства постановочного характера событий в Буче. Вместо этого был озвучен известный набор не выдерживающих никакой критики антироссийских штампов с попыткой возложить на Россию ответственность за срежиссированный на Западе сценарий.

Дискуссия показала, что западные дипломаты и функционеры ООН продолжают настойчиво продвигать украинскую версию событий в Буче, отказываясь содействовать проведению расследования трагедии и установлению лиц, ответственных за имевшие там место преступления.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: We are delighted to open a photo exhibition, #TheirImmortalHeroism, at the Foreign Ministry today. It includes archival photographs, official statements and reports by TASS correspondents made in the past few months of the Great Patriotic War.

I would like to begin by expressing gratitude to the TASS management and staff for their contribution to preparing this unique exposition. It opens a series of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and organised for the diplomatic corps accredited in our country.

☝️ When speaking about the Great Victory, we recall the combat heroism of Soviet soldiers, who have saved the world from the Nazi plague. The “information army” greatly contributed to the common efforts to defeat the enemy. The courageous TASS correspondents risked their lives every day to create a chronicle of the 1,418 days of that war. To this day, their photographs and reports remain a vital source of reliable information about those events.

TASS played a special role in exposing Nazi propaganda. The Agency’s materials revealed the criminal nature of Nazism and its deadly threat to humanity. Thanks to the journalists’ work, the world learned about the courageous defenders of Moscow, Leningrad and Stalingrad and about the atrocities the invaders committed in the occupied Soviet territories. TASS photographs were included in the verdict of the Nuremberg Trials.

The TASS Windows war-time posters made an invaluable contribution to Victory. They showed that art and satire can be a lethal weapon in capable hands. These posters have become widely popular not only in our country but also beyond it, where they could be acquired by subscription and included in the exhibitions held in Washington, Johannesburg, London, Beijing, Istanbul, Stockholm and Tehran.

❗️ This TASS legacy is especially important today when more and more attempts are being made in the West to rewrite history and overhaul the political, international legal and moral results of the Great Victory in the Second World War. Our country’s role in defeating the enemy is being deliberately played down. The monstrous crimes committed by the Nazis and their accomplices and collaborators are being justified. The very principle of outlawing the man-hating Nazi ideology is being undermined. I would like to remind you that it is one of the fundamentals principles of the post-war world order, known as the Yalta-Potsdam world order, alongside the primacy of international law and the central role of the UN, and primarily its Security Council, in balancing the interests of states.

👉 In this situation, TASS remains a reliable keeper of historical truth. The archival materials collected during the war are an effective weapon in the battle against the falsification of history.

A relevant example is a letter, which you can see at the exhibition, from the head of Poland’s Provisional Government to the Soviet leadership, dated February 16, 1945, with assurances of eternal friendship between Polish, Russian and all other Soviet peoples. Equally eloquent are the photographs made in the liberated European cities, showing people welcome Soviet soldiers with joy and present them with flowers. The EU prefers to forget about these documents and is trying to eradicate this memory, but facts cannot be erased from history.

🕊 Keeping the truth about the war is our common responsibility to those who have given their lives for peace and freedom. I believe that this exhibition can be shown not only in Russia but also beyond it, also based on the possibilities of the embassies and Russia Houses, wherever they exist.

🎼 Седьмая симфония Дмитрия Шостаковича, созданная в блокадном Ленинграде, выразила несгибаемую волю советского народа к Победе и прозвучала как голос жителей осажденного города, обращенный к миру. Своим творчеством Д.Д.Шостакович навсегда опроверг расхожее утверждение о том, что грохот пушек заставляет музы молчать.

🇸🇪 Первое в Скандинавии исполнение Седьмой симфонии Д.Д.Шостаковича состоялось 8 апреля 1943 г. в Концертном зале Гётеборга – крупного промышленного и портового центра Юго-Западной Швеции<…>. . Честь дирижировать Гётеборгским симфоническим оркестром выпала Карлу фон Гарагую – шведскому скрипачу и композитору венгерского происхождения, который по праву разделил овации благодарной публики с Александрой Коллонтай – послом СССР в Швеции, без которой эта премьера не была бы возможной.

В годы Второй мировой войны Швеция была формально нейтральной, хотя этот нейтралитет и был прогерманским. О том, как уверенно нацисты ощущали себя в Швеции, говорит уже тот факт, что после гётеборгской премьеры Седьмой симфонии посол третьего рейха выразил в МИД Швеции протест против «нарушения шведского нейтралитета».

🎵 В ноябре 1943 г. «Ленинградская симфония» прогремела уже в Стокгольме – и этот момент ознаменовал пока еще не публичные, но тем не менее значимые перемены в политике Швеции. В феврале 1944 г. А.М.Коллонтай установила неофициальные контакты и с финскими представителями <…>. Благодаря ее усилиям в начале сентября 1944 г. Финляндия вышла из войны и прекратила военные действия на стороне нацистской Германии.

✍️Слова А.М.Коллонтай о работе в Швеции приводит в своих воспоминаниях А.А.Громыко: «Я пробыла в Швеции самые тяжелые для нашей страны годы – всю войну. И приходилось делать многое, чтобы напоминать местным властям, как они обещали по-настоящему соблюдать нейтралитет и не поддаваться на провокации нацистов его нарушить <...>
Я ведь ни на один миг не забывала в Стокгольме, что там, за Балтикой, на фронте погибают наши люди».

❗️Победа СССР над фашизмом в Великой Отечественной войне сложена из подвигов многих людей, объединенных великой силой духа, верой в неизбежное торжество добра и правды над злом и насилием. Эта сила звучала и в «Ленинградской симфонии» Д.Д.Шостаковича, которая, еще задолго до завершения военных действий, провозгласила неотвратимость Победы и стала её музыкальным предвестием.

❗️Ukrainian UAV attacks on Russian energy facilities since March 18

Despite the statements made by Zelensky, including those announced to American partners, the Kiev regime continues to attack the energy infrastructure, including the international one, on the territory of the Russian Federation.

• On March 19, few hours after the Russian President agreed to accept the proposal of his American counterpart on temporary ceasefire against energy infrastructure of Ukraine, the Kiev regime employed three fixed-wing UAVs to hit a facility of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) located in the Kavkazskaya stanitsa.

• On March 21, at around 00:20, the Kiev regime deliberately attacked the Sudzha gas metering station located several hundred metres from the state border in Kursk region.

• On March 22, from 5:00 to 8:45, Ukrainian drones attacked the Valuyka gas metering station which is in Shvedunovka, Belgorod region. As a result of the attack, the equipment of the station was damaged.

• On March 23, from 21:00 to 21:50 Russian AD units repelled a UAV attack of the Kiev regime against the Glebovskiy gas-condensate field located at the Tarkhankut Peninsula of the Crimea which supplied Russian citizens and economy in this area with gas.

• On March 24, at about two o'clock in the morning, the Kiev regime attacked by UAVs the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station of the CPC in Krasnodar region.

• On March 24, a Ukrainian drone targeted infrastructure of Rosseti Kuban, Krasnodar region, the 500 kV Rostov NPP– Tikhoretsk No. 2 high-voltage line was shut down.

• On March 24, in the Lugansk People's Republic, the AFU used an FPV drone to attack the Svatovo gas distribution station of the LuganskGaz service.

• On March 24, another Ukrainian attack drone was intercepted by Russian air defence systems close to Cape Tarkhankut (Republic of Crimea), which targeted the ground equipment of the Glebovskoye underground gas distribution facility.


❗️Amid talks about a “desired peaceful settlement”, Kiev is intensifying shelling of civilian targets in the Russian Federation.

On March 20, two people were injured in Engels after a drone attack, Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin said.

• Windows were broken in a local hospital, two kindergartens and a school.
• It was the most massive UAV attack on Saratov and Engels of all time.

On March 20, the AFU shelled Gorlovka, DPR, with cluster-type artillery. Eleven residents were wounded.

On March 21, in Rostov-on-Don, a multi-story residential building was attacked.
• Debris hit one of the apartments and damaged four cars in the yard.

• On March 23, Ukrainian Nazis used a drone to strike the car of Nikolai Volobuyev, head of the Belovsky district of the Kursk region, who was delivering bread to civilians.

In a recent regular season game, the Russian forward for the Washington Capitals scored the 895th goal of his career, officially surpassing Wayne Gretzky to become the NHL’s all-time leading goal scorer.

Fittingly, Ovechkin reached this milestone against the New York Islanders – the same team Gretzky was facing on March 29, 1999, when he set what many believed would be an unbreakable record.

That record stood for 26 years… until today.

🔥 This is the fourth major milestone Ovechkin has hit in games against the Islanders. In January 2020, after scoring on Semyon Varlamov, he entered the NHL’s top 10, surpassing Mario Lemieux. In March 2021, he climbed to 6th by passing Phil Esposito. Then in March 2022, he moved into the top 3 by overtaking Jaromir Jagr.

Now, Ovechkin stands at the very top of the all-time goal list. He’s also the only active player in the top 10. The next closest active player, Sidney Crosby, sits in 18th place with 622 goals – far behind. Ovi’s record is likely to stand for a long time.

📑 Russia's Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large, Rodion Miroshnik, has compiled a report 'Violations of the international humanitarian law by the Kiev regime regarding treatment of prisoners of war: Secret Prisons'.

The information outlined in the report is based on the testimonies of Russian prisoners of war who returned home following a prisoner exchange of 150 for 150 people conducted on February 5, 2025.

❗️ The vast majority of servicemen who returned to Russia following prisoner exchanges reported systematic torture, abuse, and humiliation during their captivity by Ukrainian armed formations.

These violations are reported to have been committed in secret detention facilities, often located in grey areas, far from the front line.

Testimonies indicate that Ukrainian authorities are aware of the existence of these sites, as the representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, Defence Intelligence, and other Ukrainian special services frequently visit them and use illegal methods to extract information from the Russian POWs.

Nearly all of the former prisoners of war interviewed have confirmed the existence of an extensive network of secret prisons, along with other sites used for torture and clandestine burials. They are typically located in the basements of private homes, garages, partially constructed buildings, and industrial premises.

The most brutal treatment was reported by those held in secret prisons controlled by Azov and Aidar neo-Nazi battalions.

According to former POWs, such secret detention sites have been established both in Ukrainian regions and in Russian territories temporarily controlled by the AFU. The duration of "imprisonment" ranges from several days to several months.

It is common practice for AFU butchers to kill wounded Russian soldiers on the battlefield, as well as to execute those who have surrendered — particularly in cases where their transfer to detention is deemed "impractical" or "undesirable" by Ukrainian forces.

Many prisoners were beaten until they revealed the passwords to their online banking accounts. Extorting prisoners' families has become a widespread tactic, with threats of death used to pressure into paying ransoms for their loved ones' release. In some instances, Ukrainian criminals attempted to pressure POWs' families into engaging in actions against Russia.

Ukrainian militants are reported to have set up torture chambers in secret detention facilities, where captured Russian soldiers endure severe beatings, intimidation and abuse. This includes a range of brutal methods, including the use of electric chairs, drowning, forced nudity, threats of sexual violence, amputation of limbs, human-baiting and mock executions.

They began amputating my finger in three cuts, using a large garden pruner. <...> They pulled out four of my teeth using pliers.

❌ While many of the aforementioned facts are already known to international human rights organisations, there has been no response directed at the Kiev regime.

A widespread system of secret and unauthorised detention facilities is still functioning across Ukraine. The exact number of POWs killed or tortured to death remains unknown but testimonies pointing to the existence of secret mass graves are steadily increasing.

To date, there have been no reports of investigations into the existence of the network of secret prisons in Ukraine. The well-known facts of systematic killings, atrocities, and abuse of prisoners of war by individuals associated with the Kiev regime has been met with silence from the international community, suggesting a possible cover-up of criminal practices carried out with the tacit consent of states that sponsor Ukrainian neo-Nazi factions.
