British man 'lynched and burned alive by mob in Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest'

A British man has reportedly been lynched and burned alive by a mob in Ecuador's Amazon rainforest region. He was said to have been killed after a group stormed a police station where he had been taken into custody.

Local reports said the unnamed male was held by members of the local community on suspicion of shooting another person dead. He is said to have been taken from a police station by the same individuals around six hours after his arrest and set alight in front of law enforcement personnel.

Russians plan to hold the first “Immortal Regiment” march in Washington in several years.

The event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, is scheduled for May 3. According to preliminary information, the organizers have already received a permit from local authorities.

The march will feature an orchestra, songs, and portraits of their “heroes” as participants walk through downtown Washington, followed by a small concert near the World War II Memorial.

This would be the first “Immortal Regiment” march in Washington since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

👀 Ukrainian units were ordered to cease fire and record violations by Russia. According to a senior officer, the ceasefire command came literally a few minutes after the start of "Easter truce" announced by Moscow.

Ukraine's position remains clear and consistent: back in Jeddah on March 11, we agreed unconditionally to the U.S. proposal of a full interim ceasefire for 30 days.

Russia refused, and the Russian refusal to the United States has already lasted 39 days. Instead, the Moscow regime imposed various conditions and increased terror against Ukraine, civilians, and civilian infrastructure throughout the country.

The Russian president said his military would cease “all military operations” from 6pm Moscow time on Saturday until midnight Monday in a statement to Russian television.

“Guided by humanitarian considerations, today from 18:00 [Moscow time] to 00:00 [Moscow time] from Sunday to Monday, the Russian side declares an Easter truce,” he said during a meeting with his chief of staff Valery Gerasimov.

“I order that all military actions be stopped for this period.”

Putin also stressed that his forces must be prepared for ceasefire violations.

It was not immediately clear if Ukraine had also agreed to the ceasefire.
