I was looking through my art from a year ago when i realised that a piece i really, REALLY like to this day was done almost a year ago, just two weeks prior to my birthday. In that moment, i thought, "wow.. i could draw at 16.."
And then, well, i went to check this trucker, and it said it's technically 35 days left until I'm a legal adult...
But the fact that when you're younger, you're, too, able to draw cool things.. Maybe even have a decent skill in doing that. It is so important to look back time to time, perhaps every other week, just to see how far you've come. That you might've lost something along the way, acquiring something else, maybe even new. Things come back full circle eventually, either in your next piece, your experiments, or simply as a thought that's later brushed off.. ..or else.. We constantly re-explore the world and, moreover, the things we knew by heart. It's a constant journey of evolving and smelting the figurative metals into a shiny goo you call your own. And hey, it can be melt over and over again!
