The Dove
Time has come: petals fly OFF the buds, baring core of the flowers.
It's so common, but still, it's so stunningly sudden each time.
Summer's coming its way, spreading warmth as the life-giving powers,
It's bewitchingly good to be watching the Moon, so sublime.
From the cage she flew to meet tomorrow,
Like an arrow launched. Good by, my dove.
Just you trust me: there's no place for sorrow.
Life is based on: Hope, Belief and Love.
Winds are ruffling my hair, I can smell cherry blossom so near,
And the trees are the same as they were, like the years have not passed...
It's a pity, it's all been decided forever, no veer.
No, I can't turn back time, nor forget what we had in the past...
Time is rushing ahead; there's no force to slow down or to stop this,
Don't be sad - days are racing like rain, years are spinning away.
This I know: you should love through the parting and grief for your own bliss,
Not requesting if someone is feeling for you the same way.
Was it destined like that, and the change of the route does not matter?
We've been going this well-beaten track for the hundreds of years.
Nothing will we forget, no one will we erase, blank or flatter.
Please, do smile! All we need is the light in your eyes, not the tears...
From the open cage to meet tomorrow,
Like an arrow launched, flew out my dove.
Just you trust me: there's no place for sorrow.
Life is only: Hope, Belief and Love.
