I've been producing music and DJing under the pseudonym Rygby since I was 16 which means that very shortly, the scale will tip into more of my life with Rygby than without.

The pursuit of making and playing music under this alias has been my adult life's biggest single driving force. I've blown hot and cold along the way, at many times doubting the worth of the project to myself. There were a lot of times when I believed I would be better off to purge my interest in music completely.

It feels very calm and solid now, when I think about what it means to me to be an independent musician. I saw a vide talking about Marxism recently and how big Karl thought that the alienation of the work force from the products of their labour and means of production dehumanized them. I feel like the music thing is the opposite of that for me. It's my way of feeling the most human I can. Just having a bit of fun and that.

Anyways, I hope you like the album - I'm personally really stoked on the selection of different songs on this thing so yeah. Peace! x
