Do you remember the small "guess the location by photo" competition that we did before the rogaine? Well, here are the answers!

Overall, there places have guessed correctly by @AndZhur, by comparing the location of houses, the curvature of hills and by browsing steadfastly the satellite imagery; one has been guessed correctly by @Ensigo using his hiking experience; and one has possibly been guessed by @kabaninio, from his MTB experience, but he has never actually provided the answer ;)

There has been a lot of attempts to guess the photo #3; well, it was taken near the checkpoint 67 at a path that had been missing from the maps. But now all the paths that you saw on the rogaine map will also appear on general maps! In Strava, in OSMAnd, in Organic Maps (just give it some time to update) — so you'll be free to explore them at any time!

Guys, one of our competitors can not find hos backpack. Black osprey. Maybe someone accidentally took the wrong one?

While we are still setting up tomorrow's course, we would like to remind you to bring a dish, a cup and cutlery with you! Why, didn't you know that in rogaining you are usually provided with a hot meal after finishing? Now you do ;) And we would like to minimise plastic waste...
And yes, you'll be able to leave your belongings at the judges' tent.

6⃣ ADVICE FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE DISTANCE:

📌If you're a beginner, there's probably no point in bothering so much with pins and calculating different options. You won't be able to know in advance how fast you'll be moving along the course anyway. I did this the first couple of years I participated in rogaining:

1️⃣ I look for the most "iconic" checkpoints on the map, which will certainly be in a beautiful place and which I would most like to visit (a legend often comes in handy for this)
2️⃣ I choose the one furthest from the start (you will definitely reach any point in three hours - half the time)
3️⃣ .....

Orienteering Training for Running Clubs!🌿
The great opportunity not only to run but also to dive into the adventures of orienteering! 🧭

On Sunday, a training session was held for our friends, athletes from the club @mrctbilisi and @LakeRun_Tbilisi

🔹The training format focused on the basics of orienteering, familiarizing participants with the map and symbols. After a small theoretical part, the athletes chose and ran two different level courses.🧭

🔹Athletes with good physical fitness easily ran the course! They received a boost of energy, had great emotions, and improved their navigation skills. 🧭
☀️The training atmosphere was as well sunny and bright as the weather!☀️
