While the surrounding culture preaches self-worship, endless progress, and “you do you” morality, faith in Christ offers something beautifully subversive: the assurance that you are not your own god, the promise that suffering isn’t meaningless, and the hope that love does indeed win—not as a slogan, but as a reality grounded in the cross and the empty tomb.

The early followers of Jesus faced the might of the Roman Empire, yet held out a hope that could not be killed with the sword. Slaves and prisoners, kings and beggars alike, discovered in Christ a freedom and dignity greater than any state or system could bestow or steal. The biggest plot twist of history turned on the resurrection—the ultimate subversion of a world built on death and despair.
In our own age of digital distractions, collapsing traditions, and hollow amusements, faith in Christ remains a revolutionary hope. In Christ, you are called to be more than a consumer, an algorithm’s target, or a passive observer. You become a beloved child of God, equipped not only to resist the darkness but to redeem it—one act of love, mercy, and truth at a time.
Jesus doesn’t promise escape from the troubles of the world—He bids us take up our cross and follow Him, even through shadowed valleys. But He also promises that this world’s story is not the final word. Behold, I am making all things new. That’s the counter-narrative Christianity offers in a time when so many believe the die is cast and the ending unwritten.

Faith in Jesus is the ultimate plot twist—a hope stronger than darkness, a love deeper than despair, and a victory promised, whatever the age. The dystopia fails the moment even one soul whispers, “Thy will be done,” and steps into the light. In Him, the machines don’t win. Hell is not inevitable. And the story—your story—can turn toward redemption.

I’ve recently had to make a decision that has taken me an entire month to make. It was an important decision and I am not the impulsive type, the only thing that works for me is to sit with it and see how I feel about it over a period of time.

I don’t make decisions with my mind, I make decisions with my emotional system. My mind will gather the info, consider the pros and cons, evaluate the different scenarios, but ultimately what will give the go ahead or not, is how I feel about it.

The tricky part is understanding your emotional system; you must learn to ride the wave, the ups and downs or highs and lows. In the spur of the moment and overwhelmed with excitement, you might say yes to something that a couple of hours later will seem like a terrible idea. So I have learned to sit it out, to wait and see how the feelings develop. The waves eventually level out and having considered the proposition from every possible emotional state, you finally reach a decision.

Personally, this is the only way I have come to make decisions I later don’t regret. Not everyone is cut out this way though, some people are more visceral and it’s that immediate gut feeling that serves as their guide. The important thing is to know yourself well enough to understand your own decision making mechanism.

Most people think it’s their mind that should be tasked with such a role, but that is never the case, the mind is a wonderful tool necessary for garnering information and valuing scenarios, but it should never be behind the steering wheel. Allow your gut or your heart to have the final say, they are much better guides on this journey of life.

It was meant to be sunny today, but is not. It’s dark and gloomy. I was meant to be happy today, my trip was successful, I managed to resolve matters, a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, but today, happy, I am not.

Yesterday’s tragedy reminded me of how difficult it is to accept the only certainty in life: death.

Our young friend went full circle; turning what was his birthday into his deathday… a deeply tragic and poetic end. Leaving those that loved him, having to celebrate his birth and death on the same day of the year…

And I wonder, why are we so ill equipped for dealing with loss? How come we are never taught how to come to terms with our physical finality? Why are we so detached from our true nature that we battle to see the transient quality of life?

Life is a mere journey in an organic vehicle that serves its purpose until it doesn’t and then we go back home.

That’s what we must remember; as much as we cling to life as everything there is, as much as we should value and treasure it for the wonderful experience it can be, it’s not home. It’s not where we come from, it’s not who we are, it’s not where we will be…

The game of life is tough and it’s only getting tougher. The unfolding spiritual battle is gathering momentum and the energies we are exposed to are getting very intense. Some souls were not meant to stand such intensity.

As the world purges itself from darkness, we must do the same. Trauma must be faced, ghosts exposed, internal conflicts resolved, guilt cleared, shame expelled and relationships… relationships must be broken when they keep us trapped in a vicious circle of self-denial, self-loathing and self-denigration.

It’s a lot of pain to deal with and unfortunately not everyone has the endurance to face it all.

I pray for all of us. I pray that we will find the strength to confront what must be dealt with, to reject what must be rejected, to steer away from the wrong path and to continue to shine our light brighter than ever, so we may not only find our own way, but light the way for others to follow. Let’s above all, make sure we are there for one another, you never know the inner turmoil people are going through, until it’s too late.

At least he’s home now. I know that. And that’s the only way I know to deal with death.

A sensitive, creative, misunderstood young man decided to take destiny into his own hands and left his physical presence for a better existance closer to God.

May he find the peace he desperately longed for, as we struggle to come to terms with the fleeting nature of life.

Yesterday he was here, today he’s gone. A talented artist, an awakened soul, who for a moment must have just longed to finally be at peace.

It is those of us he’s left behind that have to find a way to make sense of existence itself.

Life is as fragile as it is resilient, as wonderful as it is cruel, as simple as it is mysterious.

Perhaps one day we will understand… today I, personally, can only claim total ignorance. Sometimes there are simply no answers.
