Pics Part 2: The City That Stole My Heart

I had heard a lot about Svetlogorsk, but I went with no expectations.

Honestly, I was hesitant to go — I was still tired and trying to find my footing.

However, on the way to the city, I received some amazing and uplifting news (I’ll share it later), which set the perfect tone for the day.

The weather was lovely.

The architecture was stunning.

The sea was calm, and the beach was clean and serene.

What more could one wish for? 😊

I can’t wait to return someday and explore this charming city all over again ❤️

My talk was only 20 minutes long, and I did my absolute best to fit in everything I wanted into the time slot while maintaining interaction with the audience!

It was quite a challenge, but I think I navigated through it pretty well.

Teachers as superheroes

Back in 2020, I had no idea how to teach online.

But hey, there wasn’t any choice.

So I bit the bullet and learned a lot - and then I practiced. And then learned and practiced some more.

I was teaching groups of 12 teenagers, later - of 40 Master students.

And they said, it was interesting - I managed to retain their focus.

Moscow Business breakfast:

It was fun, really fun!

We had a line up of four speakers, and …

I talked about beating inner trolls - and I made the participants work and practice after each troll was presented.

It went rather smoothly and I got notes later thanking me for the exercises I proposed.

That was great!)

And also James had us entertained and in stitches, which was great.

Marina talked about components of pitching right

And Maria outlined the way to get your branding design.

We’re planning the next event at the end of May, so if you’re interested, there’s a waiting list)

Hosted half a day at FailConf

Really loving my pink top here)) it helped me stay motivated and engaged.


A couple of thoughts:

- The conference was held in Russian and I tripped over numbers like a madman (and it was embarrassing!) But I just admitted that on the spot and it made me feel better.


- I understood why my story about wrong decisions in employment wasn’t picked

- I was astonished by the bravery with which people were ready to share their failure stories.

- One speaker was on the verge of tears and I was ready to do anything to help her. I also got super inspired by her strength.


Main takeaway:

If you make a mistake, no matter how big it is, do not stop. Keep at it.
