May 22-23, Banja Luka will host “Opportunities for cooperation with BRICS+: Russian experience and Serbian perspective” International Conference. The event is organised by the Susret literary association from Trebinje with support from the Gorchakov Fund and its partners from Russia and Republica Srpska.

What should participants expect:

😄 discussion of the prospects of cooperation with BRICS+ in international relations, economy, humanitarian sphere and public diplomacy;
😄 group work on research projects;
😄 presentation of results during a youth roundtable.

Format: both online and offline

This week, Serbia and the whole world is remembering the start of the Yugoslavia bombing. These events became a tragic chapter of history — a reminder of international law breach, destroyed cities and human lifes.

International Media School "Balkans and BRICS+" Comes to an End in Belgrade 🇷🇸

On March 14-16, Belgrade hosted an international media school for young journalists and students majoring in the humanities from the BRICS countries and the Balkans. The project was organized by the NGO "Ragusa" with grant support from the Gorchakov Fund.

The program included:

🔸 Lectures on creative and public diplomacy in the BRICS countries;
🔸 Workshops on information analysis skills and ways to work with the media agenda under sanctions;
🔸 Seminars on digital security, academic collaboration, and humanitarian initiatives within BRICS+.

On March 14, the international media school “Balkans and BRICS+” was officially launched at the Russian House in Belgrade. The project is organized by the NGO Ragusa with grant support from the Gorchakov Fund.

‘Eurasian Dialogue. Armenia’ Concludes in Yerevan 🇦🇲

Last week, the International Analytical Program ‘Eurasian Dialogue. Armenia’ took place in Yerevan. Experts, political scientists, and analysts discussed key issues of Russian-Armenian cooperation and regional security.

As part of the program, participants:

For the third year in a row, the ‘Foreign Policy Meetings in Memory of V.I. Churkin’ are held on the same dates, and this is no coincidence. The forum is timed to coincide with the day of remembrance, February 20, and the birthday of Vitaly Ivanovich —February 21.

He dedicated his entire life to diplomacy, to serving his homeland and its interests. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (1992–1994), Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN (2006–2017) — he left a significant mark in the history of Russian diplomacy.

His speeches at the UN Security Council became iconic, and his firm and well-reasoned position invariably commanded respect, even among opponents. Vitaly Ivanovich was not only a brilliant negotiator and strategist but also a person who deeply believed in the power of diplomacy as a tool for resolving international conflicts.

Who can attend?
The School invites experts from Russia and the countries of the Balkan region from 20 to 35 years old:

✅researchers of modern technologies in the humanities;
✅researchers in the field of architecture, urbanism, art history, design and international relations;
 
How to participate?

1️⃣Register on the English-language Gorchakov Fund website or log in to your existing profile.
2️⃣In the “My Projects” section, click on the ‘Create Application’ button and select “The International School ‘Modern Ages and Cultural Heritage’ 2025”.
3️⃣Fill in all sections of the application form.
4️⃣Add to the application form a motivation letter and a portfolio on the subject of the school.
5️⃣Go to the “Apply” section and click on the button with the same name.
