🔥 بسیار مهم

👨‍🏫 بعضی از فعل‌ها هستند که معنای آن‌ها در حالت معلوم و مجهول برای بسیاری از زبان‌آموزان گیج‌کننده است. برخی از این افعال عبارتند از:
✅ Follow
پس از چیزی آمدن، به دنبال چیزی آمدن...
✅ Precede
قبل از چیزی آمدن، مقدم بر چیزی بودن...
✅ Surmount
روی چیزی قرار داشتن، در بالای چیزی قرار داشتن (البته معنی دیگر این فعل غلبه کردن و شکست دادن است)
✅ Outnumber
(از نظر تعداد) بیشتر بودن

✍️ مثال زیر را در نظر بگیرید که در آن هر دو جمله به یک معنی هستند:
• Summer follows spring. = Spring is followed by Summber.
تابستان بعد از بهار است.

💡 اگه فراموش می‌کنید، این مثال ساده رو حفظ کنید:
• The number 2 follows 1.
عدد 2 بعد از 1 می‌آید = عدد بعد از 1 عدد 2 است.

• The agreement followed months of negotiation.
توافق پس از ماه‌ها مذاکره بدست آمد.

• Ali finished first, closely followed by Hasan and Gholi.
علی اول شد و در جایگاه بعدی (با اختلاف کم) حسن و قلی قرار گرفتند.

• In English, the letter Q is always followed by U.
در انگلیسی حرف U همیشه بعد از حرف Q می‌آید (میدونستید؟ 🤔)

• Her accident was followed by a long period of recovery.

• First came the student speeches, and the presentation of awards followed.

• The assassination of Martin Luther King in 1968 was followed by that of Robert Kennedy.

• The meal consisted of smoked salmon, followed by guinea fowl (= with this as the next part).

• The paragraph that precedes this one is unclear.

• Verbs are usually preceded by the subject in English.
در انگلیسی فاعل معمولاً قبل از فعل می‌آید.

• Lunch will be preceded by a short speech from the chairman.
سخنرانی کوتاه رئیس قبل از ناهار انجام می‌شود.


• The house surmounts a high hill.
خانه‌ بر فراز تپه‌ى بلندى قرار دارد.‏

• The island is surmounted by a huge black castle.
یک قلعه‌‌ی سیاه بزرگ روی جزیره قرار دارد.

• The central 12-foot column is surmounted by a bronze angel with outspread wings.


• In nursing, women still outnumber men by four to one.
در پرستاری، تعداد زنان هنوز 4 برابر مردان است.

• Men in prison vastly outnumber women.
تعداد مردان در زندان بسیار بیشتر از زنان است.

• His troops were hopelessly outnumbered.
سربازان دشمن خیلی بیشتر از سربازان او بودند.

• Despite being outnumbered, they managed to fight back bravely.

✔️ فعل surmount در مفهوم گفته شده معمولاً بصورت مجهول بکار می‌رود.
