Instagram is testing two new search filters for its Reels tab, allowing users to sort recommended Reels by “Latest” or “Most Viewed.” Currently, users can only filter by “Following” and “Nearby.”

While the new options offer more control, Reels would still be shown based on Instagram’s algorithm and user interests, not purely by upload time or popularity across the entire platform.
