Фильм затрагивает наиболее значимые события из биографии Фриды, очень точно передавая характер художницы, раскрывая особенности и неповторимость её художественного стиля, отношения с мужем, показывая невероятно трудный, но в то же время яркий и насыщенный жизненный и творческий путь.
Фильм покажем на английском с русскими субтитрами. Приглашаются все желающие!

This Friday, April 18, at 6pm in the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St.) we are launching our series of films about artists and showing Julie Taymor's 2002 drama "Frida" about the extraordinary Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.
The film addresses the most significant events from Frida's biography, very accurately portraying the artist's character, revealing the features and uniqueness of her artistic style, her relationship with her husband, and showing her incredibly challenging yet bright and inspiring life and creative journey.
The film will be shown in English with Russian subtitles. Everyone is welcome!

Как и планировалось, на ближайших двух встречах Киносоюза ОИЯИ будут фильмы на испанском языке.

Завтра, 25.03, в 18:30 в малом зале на втором этаже Блохинки (ул. Блохинцева, д. 13/7) состоится показ “Цветка моей тайны” 1995 года известного испанского режиссёра Педро Альмодовара.

На следующей неделе в четверг, 03.04, в 19:00 в Доме учёных (ул. Жолио-Кюри, 6) обратимся к творчеству классика кубинского кинематографа Томасу Гутьерресу Алеа и покажем одну из его самых известных комедий 1966 года “Смерть бюрократа”.

Показы будут на испанском языке с русскими субтитрами.

Good morning!
As was planned, the next two meetings of the JINR Film Union will feature Spanish language films.

Tomorrow, March 25, at 6:30 pm in the small hall on the second floor of Blokhinka (Blokhintseva street, 13/7) there will be a screening of “The Flower of My Secret” (1995) by the renowned Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar.

Next week, on Thursday, April 3, at 7pm in the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St.) we will turn to the work of the classic Cuban director Tomás Gutiérrez Alea and show one of his most famous comedies, “Death of a Bureaucrat” (1966).

The screenings will be in Spanish with Russian subtitles.

Во вторник, 11.03, в 19:00 в Доме учёных (ул. Жолио-Кюри, 6) Киносоюз ОИЯИ совместно с Театром-лабораторией “Квадрат” организует показ фильма “Гамлет” 1990 года Франко Дзеффирелли, классической экранизации одноимённой трагедии Уильяма Шекспира.
Фильм во многом следует сюжету оригинальной пьесы, хотя его сценарий сокращён, чтобы соответствовать среднему хронометражу художественного фильма.
“Гамлета” Дзеффирелли также выделяют масштабные съёмки, тщательно продуманные декорации и костюмы.
Показ на английском с русскими субтитрами.
После показа будет чаепитие, во время которого можно будет обсудить фильм и поделиться впечатлениями от просмотра.

Dear friends!
On Tuesday, March 11, at 7pm in the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St.) the JINR Film Union together with the Theatre-Laboratory Kvadrat will organise a screening of the 1990 film Hamlet by Franco Zeffirelli, a classic adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name.
The film largely follows the plot of the original play, although its script has been shortened to fit the average running time of a feature film.
Zeffirelli's Hamlet is also notable for its large-scale filming, carefully designed sets, and costumes.
The screening will be in English with Russian subtitles.
After the screening, there will be a tea time during which we can discuss the film and share our impressions of watching it.

On Tuesday, February 25, at 6pm, the JINR Film Union will show the famous film “The Best Offer” directed by Giuseppe Tornatore in the small hall on the second floor of Blokhinka (Blokhintseva Street, 13/7).
This film is a recognised embodiment of exquisite visual aesthetics and artistic style.
Together with the film’s characters, we will immerse ourselves in a fascinating story that will keep us intrigued until the very end.
The main hero Virgil Oldman (Geoffrey Rush) is a famous auctioneer and true professional in his field, who has devoted his life to high art. The plot revolves around the events, that are happening to Virgil when he is hired to sell an inheritance.
The film will be shown in English with Russian subtitles. Everyone is welcome.

The film will tell us about children from poor families, how their abilities are revealed when they start playing in a school play, and about the power of art. No version of the film with Russian subtitles is available, so we will screen it in French with English subtitles.

Дорогие друзья!
Во вторник, 11 февраля, в 18:00 приглашаем в малый зал на втором этаже Блохинки (ул. Блохинцева, д. 13/7) на фильм 2021 года известного японского режиссёра Рюсукэ Хамагути “Сядь за руль моей машины”. Фильм в спокойной и рефлексивной манере рассказывает историю из жизни главного героя - известного театрального режиссёра Юсукэ Кафуку. В центре сюжета - сожаление героя о том, что он не поговорил серьёзно с женой, пока она была жива. Это чувство гнетёт героя, не даёт ему покоя.
Особое внимание в фильме уделено красному Саабу - шведской машине, к которой Кафуку очень привязан. В ней он во время поездок репетирует сцены из чеховских пьес. Картина показывает сложность взаимоотношений персонажей, поиск правды внутри себя, попытки разобраться со своим непростым прошлым. Показ на языке оригинала с русскими субтитрами.

On Tuesday, February 11, at 6pm, we invite you to the small hall on the second floor of Blokhinka (Blokhintseva street, 13/7) for the 2021 film by the famous Japanese director Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, “Drive my car”. The film tells us in a calm and reflective manner about the story in the life of the main character, a famous theatre director Yûsuke Kafuku. The plot centres on the hero's regret that he did not have a serious talk with his wife while she was alive. This feeling oppresses the hero and makes him uneasy.
Special attention in the film is paid to the red Saab — a Swedish car to which Kafuku is very attached. In it, he rehearses scenes from Chekhov's plays during trips. The film shows the complexity of relationships between the characters, the search for truth within themselves, and their attempts to deal with their difficult past. The showing is in the original language with Russian subtitles.

В четверг, 06.02, в 19:00 приглашаем в Дом учёных (ул. Жолио-Кюри, 6) на кинопоказ спектакля "Оскар и розовая дама".
В основе спектакля — пьеса, представляющая собой письма десятилетнего мальчика Оскара к Богу. Их обнаруживает Розовая Дама - сотрудница больницы, которая помогает мальчику прожить жизнь в ускоренном темпе, испытать все радости и горести человеческого существования.
Спектакль является обладателем приза зрительских симпатий фестиваля "Золотая маска" (2004-2005). Исполнительница роли Розовой Дамы А.Б.Фрейндлих удостоена премий "Золотая маска" и "Золотой софит" за лучшую женскую роль. Постановщик В.Пази награжден высшей театральной премией Санкт-Петербурга "Золотой софит" за лучшую режиссерскую работу.

On Thursday, February 6, at 7pm we invite you to the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St.) for a screening of the play “Oscar and pink woman”.
The play is based on a piece that consists of letters written by a ten-year-old boy named Oscar to God. These letters are discovered by the Pink Lady - one of the ladies dressed in special pink clothing who come to visit the children in the hospital. Thanks to the Pink Lady, through the love that binds them, the boy lives each day as ten years of life, manages to grow up, fall in love, grow old, experience everything that is destined for every person during their lifetime, and reconcile with the inevitable.
The play is the winner of the Audience Choice Award at the "Golden Mask" festival (2004-2005).
A.B. Freindlikh is the laureate of the "Golden Mask" award in the nomination "Best Actress" and the "Golden Sofit" award in the nomination "Actor of the Year".
V. Pazi is the laureate of the highest theatrical award of St. Petersburg "Golden Sofit" in the nomination "Best Director's Work".

The play is a joint project of producer Leonid Roberman and the Museum of Moscow based on “Boris Godunov” by A.S. Pushkin.

On Tuesday, January 28, at 6:30 pm in the small Blokhinka hall (Blokhintseva street, 13/7) we will show Mark Herman's film "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas”. This film, the premiere of which became a bright event in cinema in 2008, tells us about the forbidden acquaintance of eight-year-old Bruno, the son of the commandant at a German concentration camp, with a Jewish boy and what happened next. This story is so powerful and moving that it makes you think about important universal questions.
