उत्तर प्रदेश में कानपुर के जाजमऊ इलाके में एक मुस्लिम महिला ने अपने शौहर और ससुराल वालों पर हलाला के नाम पर रेप करवाने का आरोप लगाया है। महिला का कहना है कि 50 हजार रुपए की माँग पूरी नहीं करने पर उसके शौहर ने उसे मारपीट की और फिर तीन तलाक दे दिया। इसके बाद सास ने दोबारा निकाह कराने का वादा कर उसे रोका और बहनोई के साथ जबरन हलाला कराया।

दैनिक भास्कर की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, पीड़ित मुस्लिम का आरोप है कि हलाला के दौरान उसके शौहर के बहनोई ने उसके साथ बलात्कार किया। इस दौरान उसके दो देवर कमरे के दरवाजे पर खड़े होकर पहरा दे रहे थे। पीड़िता का कहना है कि उसके शौहर ने अपने हलाला करने के बदले उससे 50,000 रुपए ले लिए। इस घटना से दुखी पीड़िता ने इसकी शिकायत आईजीआरएस पोर्टल पर की है।

मामले की जाँच मूलगंज पुलिस को सौंपी गई है। दरअसल, महिला का निकाह 30 नवंबर 2023 को मुस्लिम रीति-रिवाज से एक मुस्लिम शख्स के साथ हुआ था। पीड़िता के मुताबिक, निकाह के बाद उसके शौहर का व्यवहार अपमानजनक रहा। महिला ने यह आरोप लगाया कि उसके शौहर का किसी दूसरी महिला से संबंध हैं।
