So much of Leftism is just reinforcing reality-denial in order to keep the powers-that-be in power. Read that as Deep state, their cut-outs, the bureaucracy, and elected officials propped up by the like and loyal to that edifice. That's why they have to restrict speech, restrict platforming, and constantly appeal to "authorities" and "experts" (a form of soft censorship: trying to get you to shut up, because YOU are a common peasant and NOT an expert); and thus they construct these entire giant censorship complexes.

This has the side effect of giving the Leftie "true believer" a feeling of moral and/or intellectual superiority - a real and constant dopamine high - to the extent that when the lies come crashing down, so too does their self-perception. Anyone who has ever dealt with a narcissist knows how this plays out; the tantrums, the screaming, the blame gamesmanship. Now enact that on a societal level. They collapse, and then they often turn violent, because they believe themselves to be SO GOOD and SO SUPERIOR to everyone else, they will lash out with violence against those who they see as taking those feelings away.

Update: Two people were killed, and six others were injured in a shooting at Florida State University (FSU) on Thursday, authorities said. 

Police identified the suspected shooter as 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner, a student at the school. They also said his mother is a Sheriff's Deputy, and said Ikner used his mother's weapon in the killing.

His mother has been an officer for over 18 years and authorities say she has done a "tremendous job."

Authorities have said that the two who were killed were not FSU students.

The university and authorities are asking student, staff and faculty to call their loved ones if they haven’t already. The area is still considered an active crime scene.

A former Planned Parenthood director suspected of child pornography crimes was found dead by suicide Tuesday in New Haven, Connecticut, according to local authorities.

The Blaze reports Tim Yergeau, 35, of New Haven, reportedly killed himself five days after police raided his apartment as part of a child pornography investigation.

Yergeau worked at the abortion chain for approximately four years from 2018 to 2022 as the director of strategic communications for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. An Instagram profile that The Blaze identified as his shows numerous photos of his pro-abortion advocacy, including wearing a Planned Parenthood T-shirt and participating in pro-abortion events.

New Haven Police Chief Karl Jacobson told The Middletown Press that “the person who died was definitely the suspect in a child pornography investigation and the person who committed suicide.”
