I’m looking to join a remote team as a QA! The last time I was in the job market was in the summer of 2021. Back then, the landscape was different—technologies have evolved since then and the overall vibe felt more optimistic. But despite today’s challenges, I’m genuinely excited about this next chapter.
Here’s my plan for the job search:
First, I’ll focus on companies where I already have domain knowledge—primarily no-code and low-code platforms, especially those that compete with or integrate with Adalo. I’ll also explore other companies in this space since it’s an area I’m deeply familiar with.
Beyond that, my past experience has given me expertise in VoIP telephony, intercultural communication, translation, localization, tourism, and adult learning. On the creative side, my hobbies have helped me develop a strong understanding of crafts, art, video editing, animation, and content creation.
Next, I’ll check job openings at products I use daily and companies I’ve previously bookmarked as “dream teams” to work with. I truly believe that working on a product you’re passionate about as a user with a team I admire is a huge advantage. The thing about passion though is the more I learn about almost any product, the more curious and invested I become.
I’ll also use Google keyword searches to uncover hidden job opportunities—something I wrote about a few years ago in an article on finding jobs that aren’t listed on popular boards. I revisit that approach every time I job hunt, and I’ve used it to help others in their searches too. https://remoteeverafter.com/find-unique-jobs-faster/
Lastly, I’ll go through my trusted job aggregator sites—the ones I’ve bookmarked over the years and used both personally and while running a tech careers community on Telegram. I’ll also check out new job boards that have popped up since my last search. My bookmarked job boards can be found here. https://remoteeverafter.com/websites-listing-full-time-remote-jobs-hiring-globally-regardless-of-location/
