WEF Investigating Founder Klaus Schwab for Financial, Ethical Misconduct

The World Economic Forum opened an investigation into founder Klaus Schwab after a whistleblower alleged financial and ethical misconduct, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported Tuesday.

The news broke soon after the organization announced that Schwab was stepping down as chairman “with immediate effect” from the organization he founded in 1971 and led for more than half a century.

The WSJ reported that a whistleblower letter sent by current and former staff last week to the WEF board alleged that Schwab and his wife, Hilde Schwab, “mixed their personal affairs with the Forum’s resources.”

The whistleblower also alleged that the Schwabs funded luxury travel and services at the WEF’s expense, misused WEF property, and that Klaus Schwab asked junior employees to withdraw thousands of dollars from ATMs on his behalf.

Schwab denied the allegations and said he would challenge them in a lawsuit, unnamed sources within the WEF told the WSJ. He said through a spokesperson that he will also file lawsuits against “anybody who spreads these mistruths.”

The board opened its investigation during an emergency meeting on Sunday. The 87-year-old Schwab decided to resign immediately rather than stay for an extended transition period as originally planned, the WSJ reported.

FDA to Remove Pharma Reps From Advisory Committees, But Conflicts of Interest Persist

Many members of advisory committees at the FDA and other agencies under HHS have major conflicts of interest, even if they are not directly employed by industry — an issue Kennedy flagged as a problem in a February interview with Fox News.

For example, Dr. Paul Offit, who invented a rotavirus vaccine later developed by the pharmaceutical giant Merck, sits on the FDA’s vaccine advisory committee. His hospital, which owns the patent, licenses it to Merck, according to The New York Times.

In another example, KFF Health News reported in April 2024 that 10 of the 14 doctors on an FDA advisory panel reviewing a heart device had received money from or conducted research funded by Abbott, the company that made the device.

A Defender investigation into the new members appointed to the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee last year found that all nine new members named to the committee have financial ties to pharmaceutical companies or have worked with public health agencies to promote the COVID-19, RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), or HPV vaccines.

‘I Just Get So Angry’: Dad of West Texas Child Who Died Talks to CHD.TV

The father of the 8-year-old West Texas child who died in a hospital from a hospital-acquired pneumonia after testing positive for measles shared his story in an interview with CHD.

On March 27, Daisy was readmitted to UMC. The staff put her on what Hildebrand called a “high-pressure” oxygen mask, different from the one staff used during her first UMC visit.

“To this day I don’t know why,” he said. “That first UMC visit, they put high-flow oxygen on her and that seemed to work all right. But this time, they went straight to the high-pressure mask.”

Over the next few days, Daisy “gradually declined.”

Then “all of a sudden the doctor says that her lungs started leaking air just because of the high-pressure mask, and we didn’t know what else to do but get her intubated.”

According to Hildebrand, Daisy’s doctor was overly focused on her measles infection and overlooked the possibility that a hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia might be impeding her respiratory function.

“That last doctor we had, he just kept going on and on about measles this and measles that,” Hildebrand said. “He was trying to blame everything on the measles … They were so focused on the measles that they didn’t think about testing for anything else, and that is why my daughter is dead today.”

Young adults who received a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine showed elevated spike protein production a year or more after vaccination — that’s significantly longer than the spike protein was expected to remain in the body — a peer-reviewed study showed.

The study, published last week in Immunity, Inflammation and Disease, found that participants exhibited elevated levels of multiple proinflammatory cytokines — proteins that help regulate the immune system — signifying “the persistence of the humoral immune response to messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines.”

Karl Jablonowski, Ph.D. noted that the study’s findings may also point to a broader safety signal that may be evident in COVID-19 vaccine injury data currently maintained in U.S. government databases.

🚨 8-Year-Old in West Texas Died From Hospital-acquired Pneumonia, Medical Records Show

An 8-year-old West Texas child died April 3 of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) due to hospital-acquired pneumonia, according to Dr. Pierre Kory, who analyzed the child’s medical records.

Daisy Hildebrand died at University Medical Center (UMC) Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, at 1:50 a.m., according to Brian Hooker, Ph.D., Children’s Health Defense (CHD) chief scientific officer, who also reviewed the records.

On April 6, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) issued a news release calling her death the “second death in [the West Texas] measles outbreak” and attributing the death to “measles pulmonary failure.”
