What’s the difference between movies and books?
Well, in my view, the difference usually lies in how detailed the book is, as books are typically more detailed. They can be 150 to 200 pages long, which is impossible to fully include in a movie, for example. If the movie is going to last for an hour and 30 minutes or two hours, the book will be more informative and take longer to read, usually.
Do you prefer books or movies?
Well, I don’t read books as much these days, which is probably not great, and I prefer more entertainment, which is why I usually watch movies when I have free time. But as a teenager, I remember being more interested in reading, and it was both for pleasure and information. But these days, yes, it’s movies.
Is it important to read a book before watching the movie version of it?
Sure, I think that’s really important if you want to understand the full story from the book first and then compare it to what’s portrayed in the movie. I think that gives you a great comparison, and you can discuss it with friends or other viewers and enjoy a nice discussion.
How can reading help children?
First of all, it’s about improving imagination. I remember reading books as a child, and because there were no smartphones, we would just imagine what was happening. We would read the page and try to picture it. I also think it’s about vocabulary and grammar, as every book contains information. If you learn that information properly, you can acquire beautiful words and new structures for yourself.
Do you think parents should help their children develop the reading habit from an early age?
Definitely. The only answer here is yes. Parents are responsible for that, and if they manage to teach their children to develop a reading habit, it’s going to be a great habit to instill. Children will be smarter, more intelligent, busier in a positive way, and they will likely do better in school, I suppose.
