It has been noticed that many young people choose their future job based on how much money they can make. This focus on a salary can be beneficial in terms of guaranteeing a stable life in a financial sense, but the drawbacks of this emphasis outweigh its benefits.

In the world where living costs are rising annually, a sufficient monthly income is crucial. In cities, particularly, expenses such as rent, food, and transportation have become a headache for many, convincing young people that they do need to focus on a job that pays well. This concentration is a practical choice since these professionals can earn enough money to sustain a stable lifestyle. This stability helps prevent anxiety and have enough disposable income to spend on additional wants and needs.

Nevertheless, money cannot compare to the value of job satisfaction for many young people. While a salary can help one deal with financial pressure, it cannot always keep people fulfilled. This is especially true in a workplace where people spend a major part of their lives. Thus, choosing a job based on one’s interests and passion may be a wiser choice. This decision can help an employee enjoy their day more. We can also argue that some people eventually become millionaires doing a job they love, meaning their initial focus on passion helped them earn a fortune.

Quite often, those who only focus on a salary do not consider other aspects of work. For example, some well-paying jobs do not help people grow. This means people can be stuck at the same level for years and not develop personally in terms of skill and knowledge. In addition to the lack of growth, some people prioritizing money often hate their occupation, which can affect their mental health in the long run.

In conclusion, although choosing a job based on a salary can seem a practical choice, it is not always the healthiest and the most rational choice. Selecting an occupation based on interest is more beneficial.

Maybe 8/8/7/8 since vocabulary is quite simple at times. Still a good read, though.
